I've had crab so many ways here in Maryland that I can't believe no one has yet come up with a dessert featuring it as an ingredient.
So I bought some local backfin crabmeat yesterday at the local Mars market. Then I purchased an Old Bay seasoning packet for crabcakes. The recipe was pretty darn simple- 1 lb. crab (yes, I examined it for cartilage first), 1/2 cu. mayo, and that was it. I divded it into 6 patties and broiled 5 min. on each side. Delish! They did fall apart, but I'm told that is a good thing.
Maybe next time I'll try another recipe. Any suggestions?
